What the app does
A direct line to the newsroom
Send the newsroom a tip, a photo of a posted agenda, or a correction, and follow what happens to it.
Post as your business or group
Claim your directory listing, then publish announcements and events under your organization's name — from the same phone you answer the phone on.
One feed, refreshed every day
Local news, community notices and alerts, in one feed you can filter.
Events and the directory
The events calendar and the business directory, built for a phone screen.

Send in what you are seeing
A posted agenda on a bulletin board, a road closed, a correction to something we got wrong. Write it up in the app, attach a photo, and send it — no email thread, no form on a laptop you are not sitting at.
- Take a photo or attach one from your library.
- Watch it move from received to published under My submissions.
- Add what you know to a developing story other people are following.
- Save anything to read later — your saved items follow you between the app and this website.
If you run a business or a group
Claim your listing once and the app becomes the place you post from. Announcements, events and hours changes go out under your organization's name, with the verified mark next to it, to people who already follow you.
- Claim an existing directory listing, or create an organization.
- Publish an announcement or an event, including a repeating series.
- Add staff or volunteers to the team so posting is not one person's job.
- Keep your listing, hours and contact details current from your phone.
The beta

Leave your email if the other platform is what you carry, or if you would rather be told when the app leaves testing.
What testing actually involves
Using the app the way you normally would, and telling us when something is wrong, confusing or missing. There is no time commitment and no obligation to report anything. You can leave the beta at any time by deleting the app.
On Android the beta is a download from this website. On iPhone it will come through Apple TestFlight once it opens. Both are free.
The download, the install steps and what changed in each version are on the release notes page.
Common questions
Does it cost anything?
No. The app is free, and reading it does not require an account. You only sign in if you want to save items or send the newsroom something.
What do you do with my email address?
It is used to send you a beta invitation and occasional notes about the app, and nothing else. You can unsubscribe from any of those emails.
Can my business post from the app?
Yes. Claim your directory listing and you can publish announcements and events as your organization, and invite other people on your team to do the same. Plans and advertising are handled on the website.
Why is it not on Google Play?
Not yet. While the app is in testing we hand it out from this website, which lets us put a fix in your hands the same day. Android asks you to confirm a few times the first time you install from a website; the release notes page walks through it.
How do I update it?
Download the new version from the release notes page and install it over the old one. You stay signed in and keep what you saved.
