For organizations

Help your neighbors find you

A free directory listing, community notices and the events calendar for groups, clubs, nonprofits, schools, churches, businesses and public bodies in Lincoln and the surrounding communities.

Social posts scroll away in a day. A listing, a notice and a calendar entry here stay where residents can find them, and every one of them points back to your own website, registration page or contact.

Lincoln Town Square is a privately owned community information and news publication operated by C.A. Lord Software Group LLC. It is not affiliated with, operated by, or endorsed by the Town of Lincoln, Maine, or any municipal entity.

Town departments and boards are welcome to list and post here, the same as any organization. We link to official notices; we are not the place of record for them.

Getting started

  1. Search for your organization on the listing page. If it is already listed, choose "This is us — claim it", sign in or create a free account, and tell us your role and a work email. If it is not, add it.
  2. We confirm each claim and each new listing by hand. Once approved, you manage the listing and can invite other members of your organization.
  3. Sign in and post events and notices as your organization, from the website or the app. Each one goes up under your organization's name.
  4. Share the links. Each listing, event and notice has its own address that you can post, print or email.

A person reads everything

Every listing, event and notice is read by a person before it appears, usually within two business days, so send time-sensitive items early. If we need anything from you, we email you.

We never turn a submission away for its point of view. We decline one only for the reasons in our community standards, and those reasons are the same for everyone. Sales and promotions run as labeled advertising rather than as notices. Read the community standards →

What it costs

Nothing. A directory listing, events and notices are free, and nobody needs to pay to take part. Featured and Premium listings are optional upgrades that place a listing higher in the directory and add photos, a logo or video. Nonprofits can ask us about a reduced rate. See listing upgrades →

Verified organizations

When we have confirmed that an organization's account really represents it, its posts carry a "Verified organization" mark. Approving a claim and verifying an organization are separate checks; ask us if you would like to be verified.

Our administrator may also trust a verified organization to publish its own events and basic listing updates straight away, with review afterward. Trust is decided case by case, is never automatic and can be withdrawn. Notices are always reviewed before they appear.

On the web and in the app

Everything you publish appears on the website and in the Lincoln Town Square app. Members can post events and update the listing from their phone, and residents can follow your organization to see your posts in one place. About the app →
