Water customers in Howland may experience temporary discoloration of their water from September 28 through October 8 as the Water Department conducts annual hydrant flushing.
The Town of Howland advises that the water remains safe to use during the maintenance work. Customers are encouraged to use caution when doing laundry or other activities where discolored water could cause staining, and to allow water to run clear if discoloration occurs.
